About
Briar Leonard is a sculptor based in San Antonio, TX. She is currently a Senior obtaining her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art, with a concentration in sculpture at Texas State University. Within her work she explores the way the human psyche interacts with trauma, and fabricates sculptures with steel and found soft materials that create a physical manifestation of the healing process. She has exhibited her work throughout Central T exas. Recently, Leonard received the Herman Casey Memorial Fund in Sculpture (2024). She currently works as a student worker in the Sculpture Studio at Texas State University.
